About us

Live performance is a transformative art. It is an ancient tool of connection: challenging how we think and inspiring us to imagine a world we aspire to. In these fractured times, what could be more healing than sitting in a (dark!) room surrounded by strangers, turning off your phones, and experiencing the collective effort of an ensemble or an orchestra coming alive together?

Founded by Louise Snouck Hurgronje in 2025, we are a magazine dedicated to the performing arts, platforming all the people and artists behind the productions we love. We hope that through our stories and coverage, we will encourage a new generation of theatre-goers to step into a venue, witness a show, and have it touch them in a way which soothes or excites the soul. Our goal is to break down the barriers to entry and prove that these spaces are for everyone.

To that end, we have enlisted the help of our Culture Curators—passionate enthusiasts rather than traditional critics—to share their ongoing recommendations and reviews on this site. These are the people who make it their mission to see everything and you may now consider them your friends who always know what’s on and worth seeing.
